  • What should I bring on a Walking Tour?
Comfortable Shoes! We won't be covering a huge amount of ground, approximately 2.5 kilometres or so but comfy footwear is a must. An Umbrella may also come in handy - this is Ireland after all.
  • Will there be a bathroom break on my Walking Tour?
Definitely. Tour guides need breaks too you know! We will take a break every 60 minutes or so but if you need more regular breaks, just let Hannah know and she'll be happy to accommodate. It might even be a good excuse for a pint!
  • Can I request a specific itinerary that I'm interested in?
Of course. Just tell us where you want to go, what you want to see and when you want to do it - and let Hannah do the rest.
  • What happens if it rains?
To be honest, it will probably rain. It might just be a quick shower but it will probably rain at some point. Dress accordingly and don't let it dampen your spirits. The best part about getting caught in the rain, is that you then get to sit by a cosy fire in a quiet pub with a pint of Guinness, while you dry off.
  • I have a special dietary requirement. Will I be able to do a food tour?
Once Hannah has advance notice of your requirements, she will ensure everyone is catered for. Dublin is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city where everyone can be accommodated.
  • Do I need to book in advance?
    Yes please.
  • Can I book a private tour for my friends and I?
Absolutely! You'll find all the details on our Tours page. Look of out "The Foodie".
  • Should I eat before the tour?
We'll be eating almost straight away once the tour starts, so best to arrive with empty bellies. But if you're peckish beforehand, keep it to a light snack..
  • I'm pregnant. Can I do a food tour?
Amazing! Congrats! Or course. Just let us know at the time of booking and we'll do the rest. If there's a particular thing you've been craving, be sure to tell us and we'll do our best to keep some close to hand.
  • What if I don’t drink alcohol? Will I still enjoy the tour?
Definitely. If you're taking a private tour and would prefer to stay away from alcohol altogether, just let us know at the time of booking and we'll plan accordingly.
  • I'm under 18. Can I drink alcohol on the tour?
I'm afraid not. The legal drinking age in Ireland is 18 and our venues (and the law) won't bend this rule. We can provide non-alcoholic equivalents though with prior knowledge.
  • How can I pay?
Payment can be made online through the Ireland with Hannah website. We accept all major credit cards and Apple Pay.
  • What if I need to cancel my tour?
If you need to cancel a tour, contact Hannah as soon as you can. Refunds may be offered on the following basis; 15+ Days Notice: 80% Refund / 8-14 Days Notice: 50% Refund / 7 Days Notice: 0% Refund If for some reason we must cancel a tour, be assured a full refund will be issued.
  • I lost something whilst on tour. Can I get it back?
Hannah will make every effort to get your lost property back to you. If you've lost an item, please email hannah@irelandwithhannah.com as soon as you can.
  • What is the tipping etiquette?
Tips are always welcome at the end of a tour. In Ireland, tipping is usually expected in the service industry, including tour operators. A 15% - 30% tip will always be appreciated. For those of us who no longer carry cash, Hannah will have a QR Code on the reverse of her ID Badge for digital tips.
  • I'm running late! What should I do?
Contact Hannah as soon as you can. Use the Chat icon in the bottom corner of this page to send her a DM. If its a private tour, Hannah will have some flexibility. If you're part of a public tour, we will wait as long as we can but you'll understand we can't delay our other guests.
  • I'm arriving on a Cruise. What tour should I pick?
For guests arriving on Cruise Ships, we know your schedule is tight. So we suggest you chat to Hannah and decide what itinerary is best for you. It may be easier for Hannah to collect you from your ferry terminal, take you on a tour and then drop you back in time for your departure.
  • What is the minimum / maximum group size?
The minimum tour size is one person and the maximum group size, with specials transport arrangements is 50.
  • How far is Dublin Airport from the city?
Depending on traffic, Dublin airport is approximately 30 minutes from the city centre and should cost approximately €30 in a taxi cab. Hannah can of course collect you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel at the beginning of a tour if you wish.
  • Can I bring kids on a tour?
Absolutely. They must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if they are aged under the age of 18.
  • Are tours wheelchair accessible?
Usually, yes, but occasionally we may need to deviate the route to avoid steps. With prior knowledge, Hannah can have an appropriate route mapped out.
  • Can I take photos while on tour?
Of course you can. It's even encouraged! Hannah is a dab hand at taking the perfect group photo to capture the moment. We'd also love you to tag us in your photo's using #IrelandWithHannah
  • Can you book our hotels too?
Yes. Just give us an idea of your budget and we'll do the rest.
  • Can someone else do the driving?
Oh yes! Whether it's an airport transfer for a party of 2, or a family of 18 on a 4 day tour of Ireland, Hannah has you covered. We can offer: Car transfers for 2-5 people. People Carriers for 2-9 people. Mini Buses for 2-19 people. We've even been known to charter a 55-Seater luxury coach for a certain pop-start who visited Galway!
  • Is the itinerary flexible?
Of course it is. We want you to have the best experience possible. Once we know what is on your bucket list, we'll be sure to include it.
  • Can I shop while on tour?
You sure can. If there's a particular place you'd like to stop by, let Hannah know at the beginning of the tour and she'll squeeze it in.
